Love Is All We Need

Today we’re taking a break from all the wedding goodness we’ve been sharing to talk about what we love most. And do you know what that is? L-O-V-E, love! Couples that are completely smitten with each other make our hearts swoon, and that’s why we do what we do. Our team is so passionate about helping each of our brides and grooms make their wedding day one to remember, and it’s a pretty easy job when you’re working with couples who are just, well, so in love!

Burlap Wedding Decor

You know, I’m not normally a fan of burlap at weddings, but our clients Danielle + Carlos featured it in a very simple and elegant way {that I totally love!}. They incorporated this fabric {it’s actually jute but looks like burlap} into their ceremony decor with a simple chair bow, which was accented with magnolia leaves and baby’s breath, and then used it to add some texture to their guest tables in the napkins. It’s understated but still definitely noticeable 🙂

Sangria Inspired Shoot

I don’t think our stylist could have fit any more prettiness into this styled shoot! She was inspired by the vibrant colors of fruit used to mix up white sangria, and created a fun + flirty atmosphere by incorporating lush florals, lots of little details, and a few of our signature vintage furniture pieces 🙂

Memory Charms

Honoring those who’ve passed or can’t make it to the wedding is such a sweet gesture, and one that does not go unnoticed by guests! If grand displays aren’t your thing {like a memory table}, a simple photo charm will do just the trick. One of our brides adorned her bouquet with a black & white photo of a loved one, and it was a sweet sentiment that she can look back on for years to come.

Mon Amour Styled Shoot

A few months ago we got to style a fabulous photo shoot, captured flawlessly by Amalie Orrange Photography, and boy was it pretty! Gorgeous blooms, sweet treats {including a crêpe cake}, and our vintage furniture made this French inspired shoot totally swoon-worthy!

Diary of a Stylist

So you jump head first into planning the day that will start the rest of your lives together. Now sure, you have lots of ideas floating (I mean most of us have been planning since we were little girls) but you may quickly find out… how time-consuming it is to make them a reality. And that’s where I come in. You need an event stylist.

I once saw a sign in a little shop {of cute handmade things} that read “Yes, you could make this yourself, but will you?” Being a bride it is easy to want to take on the world and in the beginning you may have the determination to find or make those little details. BUT when those little details become daunting, that’s where I come in! It’s kind of like having a Pinterest board that works with you, and as you share with me, {things you’re smitten over, ideas you envision, your love story} I help you shape those ideas, bring them into a cohesive plan, and best of all, bring them to life!

I love what I do. I have the wonderful opportunity of displaying a love story at each wedding. I get to help you create a unique feeling through different design elements and make your day everything you’ve ever dreamed it to be.

Who am I?! I’m one of the fabulous event stylists at RW Events, Katie Kern to be exact!

Custom Backdrops

Say “hello” to the new love of my life {at least for this week ;-)}! Our stylist crafted up this colorful and dreamy backdrop, handmade from ribbon + lace! There are so many vignettes this would be perfect for, and I just can’t decide where I’d like it best – a ceremony backdrop, a sweetheart table backdrop, or a photo booth backdrop!
