Meet Sunflower

Would ya look at this pretty gal?! Something about her takes us back to a time when we were carefree and happy-go-lucky. When we saw Miss Sunflower we had to have her for our inventory! She evokes an immediate feeling of comfort and joy, exactly what we want our clients to feel, and what you want for your guests to feel.

Handcrafted Farm Tables

One of my fav pieces of inventory is our handcrafted farm tables! I adore the deep, rich color of the wood, and how they can be used for laid-back rustic weddings {they look awesome with a jute runner}, or something a little more swanky. Just add some vintage china, gold flatware, and chiavari chairs!

Holiday Inspiration

The fireplace at Cypress Grove Estate House is one of our favorite vignettes to style. The pristine wood floors throughout and subtle southern touches created the perfect backdrop for our holiday table décor. This year we teamed up with our friends at Windermere Flowers to design a woody, natural setting encompassing the Pantone color of the year – Marsala.

Woodland Inspired Holiday Decor

When we asked Windermere Flowers to share the inspiration for the design… here’s what they shared:

“We created a rustic “marsala” inspired Holiday table using the rich, velvety green and “marsala” leaves of Magnolia, dried fruit and the ilex berries added a pop of rich red to the table and mantle. What holiday table is complete without some gold mercury candles and fragrant pine and cedar to trigger another of our wonderful senses. When setting your holiday table the key things to remember – mix textures and vary height to create that “designer” look and don’t underestimate to touch of metallic {gold on this table} to add a classy “sparkle” to any occasion- Happy Holidays!!”

Vintage Gold Tufted Armchairs

These plush, velvety armchairs are fit for a king and queen {a.k.a. the bride and groom}! Pair these beauties with one of our antique tables, add some florals + a pretty backdrop, and I’d say you’d have yourself a pretty amazing sweetheart table vignette.

Handmade Swizzle Sticks

Our stylist crafted up these adorable swizzle sticks for a vintage inspired wedding, but if swizzle sticks aren’t your thing, try using these at a sweets bar! How perfect would they be as pie, cookie, or cupcake labels!

Antique White Armoire

I absolutely love this piece as a welcome display or guest sign-in table! Filling up that display cabinet with family photos {or photos from the couple’s relationship} adds just the right personal touch, and popping out the desk gives guests the perfect place to leave a note for the bride + groom or sign the guest book =)

It’s been a week full of weddings features for RW Events! Our Lady Sings the Blues styled shoot was printed in Munaluchi bridal {Check out that post here}, and Billy + Mackenzie’s Bella Collina wedding was just featured on Every Last Detail! 2015 Color of the Year | Marsala

Time for our styling team to hit the ground running, because Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year has been announced! Drum roll please… it’s Marsala! We’ve got the perfect details if you’re looking to incorporate this gorgeous hue into your decor {check out our tufted settee + vintage china}.

“Sensual and bold, delicious Marsala is a daringly inviting tone that nurtures, exuding confidence and stability while feeding the body, mind, and soul. Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this robust shade incorporates the warmth and richness of a tastefully fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots point to a sophisticated, natural earthiness.”

Lady Sings the Blues

Oh la la, talk about vintage gorgeousness! This shoot was inspired by Harlem Renaissance artist Palmer Hayden’s “Jeunesse”, and is full of soul, bold colors, and lots of style, just like the painting. We chose a stunning venue that featured exposed brick, and complemented our antique vanity and tufted velvet sofa perfectly! Oh, and don’t forget about our model! Not only did she show off that flowing lace gown beautifully, but she also hand crafted the cloche inspired fascinator.

Surviving a Bridal Show

There are a few essential tips for surviving a bridal show, especially if it’s the first one you’ve attended. Here are the tops tips we’ve come up with to help make your bridal show experience fun and memorable {and yes, we’ve been to a LOT of bridal shows}:

  • Create a game plan – bridal shows are super exciting, but there’s always a lot going on. It will save you a ton of time if you plan ahead and choose which vendors you most want to meet. If there are more vendors to meet than you think you’ll have time for, bring your maid of honor, mom, or close friend who can help you out.
  • Know your wedding date – if you’re flexible on the date, try to at least have a particular month selected. It will help you determine which vendors will be an option for you.
  • Know your budget – this is essential when hunting down your vendor team. Knowing your budget will help you narrow down the search so you can spend more time speaking with vendorsfit within your price range.
  • Dress comfortably – you’ll be doing a lot of walking, so we always recommend wearing comfy flats or sandals.
