Featured Inventory | Industrial Chic

Everything about this styled shoot makes me happy – the fresh floral + greenery, the vintage + industrial pieces, and that {gorgeous} couple… swoon! We partnered with Tiffani Jones Photography to dream up this industrial chic inspiration shoot, and it’s the perfect combination of feminine and distressed details!

This shelving unit is one of my favorite elements from the shoot – the little details are so unique and make for great conversation starters between guests.

You know us RW gals love garland, so it was only natural that we incorporate it into the sweetheart table design.

Hayley Paige Trunk Show

Our friends at Calvet Couture Bridal are hosting a Hayley Paige trunk show in just two weeks {squeel}! Since most bridal salons only carry a small selections of gowns from each designer, attending a trunk show is a great way to see more gown from their recent collections or some of the designer’s favorites. Plus, trunk shows sometimes involve discounts that aren’t otherwise available!

Real Wedding | Jasmine + Johnathan

We love digging through the archives and reminiscing over past weddings! One of our fav soirées took place at Cypress Grove Estate House three summers ago – Jasmine + Johnathan hosted an outdoor celebration complete with yummy food, gorgeous bold florals, and a tent to boot {perfect for keeping out those afternoon Florida showers}.

Southern Tented ReceptionTheir reception was the perfect mix of rustic elegance – the farm tables brought a touch of country charm while the crystal candelabras, lace runners, and mercury glass votives added just the right amount of elegance + sparkle.

Let’s take a second to talk about this cake! Bundles of colorful handmade sugar flowers graced four tiers of this sweet treat, making it {almost} too pretty to eat.

Southern Fried ChickenJasmine + Johnathan both love southern food, so fried chicken served with collard greens and shrimp + grits were a natural choice.

Tidbits + Tips | Summer Bridal Beauty

With summer officially in full swing {it is the first day of summer after all}, we’re sharing a few of our top tips for being picture ready when it’s warmer and muggier than usual outside.

  • Choose lighter fabrics – this goes for the ladies and the gents! Look for dresses and suits in fabrics like silk-organza chiffon, tulle, and cotton. Pro tip – avoid satin gowns in the summer months. It’s a thicker fabric so it doesn’t breathe well or hide sweat stains {and we certainly don’t want that!}.

Summer Bridal Gown Karin’s gown was semi-casual, but it was a great match with her fun + bubbly personality and relaxed wedding decor. It also featured a light, flowy fabric, perfect for humid Florida summers.

    • Check your shoes – if you’re getting married outside, choose thicker heels, wedges, or flats so you don’t sink into the grass {summer rain can make the ground especially soft}.
    • Go for a simple up-do – curls and fancy up-dos aren’t don’t fare well in summer heat and humidity, so try a simple chignon or side ponytail. Opt for a hair comb vs. fresh flowers since blooms will wilt faster in the heat.

Bridal Up-Do

  • Pack extra beauty supplies – double up on the powder and blotting sheets! Do a couple of quick make-up checks throughout the day to make sure you’re always picture ready.
  • Bug spray – this one’s more for comfort and not so much for beauty, and may or may not be necessary depending on your venue. Some outdoor locations spray for bugs on a regular basis, but it’s always a good idea to have bug repellent on hand for the evening.

Favorite Friday | BHLDN

Us ladies at RW Events love weddings with charming and unusually beautiful details. If you’ve ever perused pinterest for wedding inspiration, you may have come across BHLDN. This company is owned by Anthropologie (swoon), and specifically focuses on weddings. The shops feature wedding gowns + accessories, bridesmaid dresses, honeymoon attire, and various décor. While there is no physical storefront in Florida, BHLDN does have 9 locations throughout the country. But not to fear!.. They do have one-on-one styling services online, and by phone, to ensure that your event reflects your personality flawlessly.

We’ve gone through the shop, and picked out a few of our favorites to feature. Bear in mind it was extremely difficult to narrow down!
