Hey Wedding Lady

We've been featured!

It’s always exciting when talented vendors get together to create magic at Cypress Grove, it is even better when the vision they dream up gets published! This French inspired shoot by Matlock and Kelly Photography and Melanie Paige Events has been featured on Hey Wedding Lady! There are lots of swoon-worthy scenes captured here and we love how much Cypress Grove is featured, not just as a backdrop, but as in intricate part of the shoot’s style! If classic style with a few modern updates is your jam then this shoot is a must see.

From the gowns to the stationery every single elegant detail pairs perfectly together. Cypress Grove is the ideal venue for the simple white and green palette highlighted with lush florals by Fern and Curls Designs and dreamy gowns from Olivia Bowen Bridal.

The featured portraits include some of our favorite locations for bride and groom shots. If you’re getting married at a park, you should take full advantage of all the scenery right?

The dapper groom exudes timeless style in a suit from Stich and Style, and serves as a perfect example of why more grooms should pose with the bride’s bouquet!

The neutral vibes continue with reception details featuring our Sand Louis chairs and a pop of blush and velvet from BBJ Linen. The veranda based reception highlights how unexpected textures can work together to create a beautiful look.

The stunning greenery filled bouquet is loose and organic and features a few of our favorites: roses, ranunculus, ruscus and more! The perfect balance of statement making, but not overshadowing of the beautiful bride and subtly detailed gowns.

And then, they danced under the stars, well under the bistro lights! Be sure to visit Hey Wedding Lady to see more photos from this gorgeous shoot!

The Living Wall

Because we’re always looking for an excuse to create something new!

It typically stems from not being able to find what we need in the marketplace. And sometimes, it’s because we don’t like the options available in the market. For instance, our boredom with the traditional hedge walls prompted us to create something new + needed for our styling clients.

“Re” introducing The Living Wall!

What is the living wall and why was it created? Our owner, Tamuel Cowart, was absolutely sick of the traditional hedge walls. And we couldn’t help but share her sentiments. Traditional hedge walls were overused and didn’t compliment the events styled. In other words, our clients deserved something better. When we sketched out the Living Wall we weren’t sure of the response we’d received. So we tested it on colleagues first at Cypress Grove Estate House.

Quick list of why it’s a staff fav:

    1. Easy to assemble
    2. Fresh foliage allows us to easily fill the gaps
    3. 100% customizable
    4. Comes in various sizes
    5. Perfect for a bar, sweetheart table, or lounge backdrop

Alpacas, Anyone?

Yep, that’s an Alpaca hanging out at Cypress Grove Estate House with a floral garland. I mean, because why not?! This is one of the many reasons we absolutely love working with Kristen Weaver and her associates!

I really don’t know much about the overall theme or reason behind the shoot, we simply wanted to share this adorable photo of our new friends! There was a cool tablescape, too. Check out the full shoot here

It’s Eclectic!

Eclectic decor featuring colorful floral bouquet and fireplace mantle.

…Boogie woogie, woogie!

You can’t resist it

It’s “eclectic”

Boogie woogie, woogie

You can’t do without it…

Okay, okay, I’ll stop it 🙂

Oh, how we love the catch phrase eclectic decor. To us, its a collection of unexpected and funky decor. It’s a break from the norm and a mix of bold colors, patterns, and textures! We sourced pottery from a local maker, Thrown by Hand, and found the perfect macrame doilies for the place settings to tie in with the bold artwork and walls at the restaurant.

Eclectic decor including handmade pottery, amber vases, and pastel floral.
This intimate affair was hosted at Reyes Mezcaleria! A little about the venue: Reyes Mezcaleria is a cute and vibrant Mexican restaurant just minutes from Ivanhoe Village. It offers an extensive list of mezcal and tequila with fine Mexican fare in the vibrant North Quarter District of Downtown Orlando. If you’re ever in the area we highly recommend the quac!

Special thanks to our creative partners for making this happen:
