The Women Behind the Brand | Maddie

I’m Maddie, the {not so} new kid on the block! I might have a baby face, but I sure know how to run the show! If you’ve seen me at one of our venues, I’m probably running around eager to find someone to help {I love to lend a helping hand}. I started with RW Events as an intern last year, and but even COVID could keep me away 😉 I’m back and finally getting the hang of this brand manager thing.

Making people feel taken care of it my favorite thing in the world {hello fellow enneagram two’s}! I’m your go-to-girl if you need support of an extra set of hands. I also like to keep busy and have a “no task is too small” mentality. Learning to balance event management, sales, design, and networking in this role has really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I could not be more grateful for that!

In the office, I’m known as the introverted and accepting Gen Z who wears too much black and never down food. In my free time, you’ll most likely find me at a UCF sporting event, theme park, or snuggled up with my fur baby, Sophie, and reading a book. I nerd out over Harry Potter but recently have been super into philosophy {so interesting, I know}. It’s safe to say I’m equal parts old soul and a child at heart, so I get along with just about everyone!

My goal this year is to put myself out there more and find my people in the industry. If we haven’t had a chance to really chat, shoot me a message and let’s change that! My calendar always has room for coffee or cocktail 🙂

The Women Behind the Brand | Kimberly

Hey, there! I’m Kim – some people call me a unicorn because they hear about/from me, but never actually see me in person 😉 I’ve worked for RW Events for 10+ years, and about five years ago I relocated to Arkansas. I was so blessed to be able to keep my position with the company and work from home, so that’s why I’m not around too often. Why Arkansas, you ask? The Florida heat and humidity are not my friends, I love the cold but not snowstorms, and the seasons here are AMAZING! Color-changing leaves, wildflowers in the Spring, lake days in the summer {I’m not a beach person – no sand or sharks for me!}, and cozy fireplaces in the winter – yes, please!

Working for a small company for such a long time has really given me the chance to learn the ins and outs of the business; I’ve got my hands in all the pots at this point – marketing, client accounts, vendor relations, human resources… you name it, I’ve probably done it!

Being a unicorn is great {I’m pretty introverted so I love having a solitary work space}, but there’s one downfall – if you haven’t been following the RW brand for quite some time, you probably don’t know me! That’s my goal this year, to make myself more visible. Starting with, you guessed it, Instagram! Be sure to follow me at @rwevents_kimberly – I’ll do my best to update bi-weekly for now 😉

The Women Behind the Brand | Amaris

Hey, y’all!

I’m Amaris, one of the RW OG’s {old gals}! I’ve been here for a good little minute and know just about anything you need to know from venues to rentals. You can typically find me hiding in the office behind my computer and if you’ve ever called the office, we’ve definitely chatted {I’m pretty quick on the draw with the phones}. If you catch me at a networker, I’m the little butterfly working my way around the room.

In the office, I’m known for keeping things organized and bossing the girls around, maybe even the bosses from time to time. I mean, I am the office manager! Otherwise, you’ll find me snacking on something salty and sweet; it’s my brain food and keeps me on my toes!

When I’m not in the office, I spend my time engulfed with my little sour patch kid, aka – my two year old son. Who knew mom life would be harder than being an office manager!? Whew! My sweet escape is typically brunchin’ with my besties and enjoying mimosas or shopping cute little boutiques.

This year, I’m looking forward to achieving new goals with our team and dreaming up fresh ideas to build our brand!

The Women Behind the Brand | Alexis

It’s been a hot minute since we introduced our team! Most of our clients + vendors meet these fierce ladies touring the venues and working events, but we wanted you to get to know us a little more personally – outside of events 😉

For those that don’t know me, I’m Alexis! You can find me strutting the offices of RW and industry events in my heels. You can always hear me coming – some may call that heavy feet, but I call it walking with a purpose! This year’s my two-year milestone with RW Events and I’m ready to fully embrace the hospitality industry and expand my network! I’m equal parts The Challenger + The Helper and I have a passion for this business.

In the office, I’m very goal-oriented – sales is my game, but boy do I love to play! Make no mistake, I’m no one-trick pony; I pride myself on being a jack of all trades. Customer service and hard work have always been part of my skill set. Lately though, I’ve been finding a love for the creative, chatting all things rentals + pretty aesthetics gives me all the feels!

Out of the office, I’m an extrovert through and through. I love feeding off good vibes + energy, and I’m always down to hit up happy hour with the gals. Fun fact, the team always catches me jamming to music or musical soundtracks in the office – I guess you can say I’m a bit of a nerd. This year I’ve made it my mission to come out of the gate full force and start taking action toward some new and exciting things for the brand and myself! It’s starts with building my network, so if you’ve seen me at an event and wondered “who’s that” or we’ve never met, drop me a line! I’d love to snack on charcuterie, sip on a cocktail, and dive a little deeper with you!

We were so thrilled when Cara + Jon reached out about hosting their emerald & gold wedding at Luxmore! In case you don’t know, Cara was actually part of the RW Events team a few years back. So hosting her wedding was such a special treat for us =)

Bride and Groom after the ceremony

It’s funny, when you work in the wedding industry, you get a good idea of what you want for your own wedding well before it comes to fruition 😉 Cara had always talked about doing emerald & gold wedding colors, and she did just that! She hit the nail on the head with her rock star vendor team and choosing the perfect details for the soiree!

The Reception

Their neutral reception decor looks so stunning at Luxmore, and compliments the bride’s personal style so well; classic + elegant. To mix things up a little, they incorporated a fun combo of traditional rounds with our Wesley Farm Tables. The white floral and ivory linen really make the farm tables and gold accent decor pop!

Pro tip: to be more cost-effective, repurpose items if you can! The couple’s arbor was used for the ceremony and they also used it as a sweetheart table backdrop.
