Great question! Grand Tastings are group events designed to showcase Big City Catering’s most popular food items, while giving you the chance to try more than what you’d be able to at a private tasting. They’re hosted at Cypress Grove Estate House or Luxmore Grande Estate, and you’ll get a full buffet-style dining experience. The space is setup reception style, also giving you a chance to see the venue dolled up!

Yes, the grand tasting is available in lieu of a private tasting.
Big City Catering creates a curated menu featuring 15-20 of their most popular items. Private tastings are limited to 5-7 items based on your menu inclusions.
The grand tasting is designed to allow attendees to sample the quality of Big City Catering’s cuisine. While we can’t guarantee your specific preferences will be available, feel free to send us your top picks for consideration! We’ll send out the final menu 30 days prior for you to peruse!
If you’d like to attend this event and you or your partner have dietary restrictions, please let us know what those are and we’ll look into it. We may not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions at the grand tasting, so a private tasting may better suit your needs.
No! You’re welcome to stick with your private tasting if you don’t want to attend this.
If you’re doing a plated meal, keep in mind that this event is buffet-style. We totally understand that entrée presentation may be important to you, in which case, we recommend sticking with a private tasting. Private tastings are served in more of a “plated” meal style.
No dress code here! Feel free to come as you are {lots of our clients come after work} or dress up if you want to make it a fancy date night!
This is a “come-and-go” style event so there’s no pressure to arrive right at the start. We’ll start to wrap things up around 30 minutes before the noted end time so be sure to fill your plate before then!
