Welcome Station // Southern Wedding

While we have seen Luxmore Grande Estate styled in so many ways, at its core it will always be an elegant southern estate. That is why we are so excited to share to share this stunning modern take on a southern wedding with you!! Over the coming weeks we’ll be breaking down a luxurious styled shoot we hosted and chatting about all the details that make this fit for a southern belle ❤️ We’re starting off with the first thing your guests will see – a welcome station!

|  WEDDING WELCOME STATION  |

Welcoming your guests in style!

We love the soft blues and neutrals used in this color palette for a wedding welcome station. The antique rentals echoed the traditional southern charm, while accents such as the gold geometric vases brought a modern edge. The clean floral also added a sleek finish while still feeling classic.

Putting together a unique and personalized wedding welcome station for guests is a great way to make them feel at home during your event! Your guests are your closest family and friends and they are excited to celebrate with you. So a thoughtful welcome station is the perfect way to greet them!

RW Chronicles // Happy Hour

Everyone knows Luxmore Grande is home to some of the most beautiful weddings Orlando features every year! While we love seeing vendors at weddings and events, nothing beats spending a night off with good company and specialty cocktails! After all, Happy Hour is the best hour! =)

But why limit happy to just an hour? We put our cocktail mixing skills to the test to create some killer cocktails fitting to match the crowd we were entertaining. Combine the Bad and Boujee with with our favorite Sassy Photobooth and Sasha’s “Madd Vybez” (see what I did there 😉) and we were in for a night of fun! They say Happy Hour is where all the best decisions are made. So we chose to showcase some of our new inventory along with the RW Lookbook (keep your eyes peeled for the 2019 copy coming soon)!

Ah Happy Hour…For many it’s something looked forward to all day, as it’s tied directly with that triumphant feeling you get when you realize that the work day is in fact over. While we are all useful at work, we are irreplaceable at Happy Hour =)

We hope to see you at our next one soon!

Special thanks to Flowers By Lesley, Madd Vybez, Sassy Photobooth and Ashley Jane Photography!

Alecia

Styling // Lush Cosmetics

Read a little about their core values:

Handmade is our middle name.

Step into any of our shops, and nearly everything that you see has a handmade touch. The products on our shelves are all lovingly handmade by devoted compounders who slice, squeeze and mix up fresh batches every day of the week. If you’ve got a packaged product, you can see who compounded it and when by peeking at the face sticker on the back of the bottle or pot. Even these stickers have a handmade element: our graphic designers draw the cartoon versions of our compounders’ faces by hand.

Our commitment to handmade doesn’t stop there, because our shops are carefully handcrafted too. All the beautiful reclaimed wood furniture that gives our shops their signature look is constructed in our very own woodshop in Vancouver, Canada. And the slogans you see on our shop walls have all been handwritten by experts on our shop design team.

Keeping the design in-line with their signature brand, we brought in garden picked wildflowers to be assembled in mason jars to display on top of wooden farmhouse tables.

They wanted to create relaxing spaces for their team as they learn/tested the new products. Each space was inspired around a signature Lush Cosmetics scent.

Featured Inventory // Iceland

Curating a collection

Yes, we’re pickers; we’re always sourcing and gathering new items for our vintage inventory. During our downtime, you’ll find us at local antique fairs, boutique shops, and flea markets on the hunt for unique pieces to add to our inventory. We found three of these guys below at a flea market outside of Orlando.

As we were walking through, I passed them several times. They were filthy, tarnished, missing wheels and needed a lot of TLC… When one of our stylist spotted them, she immediately saw potential and came up with a plan to refurbish the pieces for an upcoming wedding.

After a few weeks in the shop, it was refurbished and named Iceland. Potential is in the eye of the beholder 😉

Our stylist, Dede, partnered with Flowers by Lesley to create a floral stand. The floral stand would allow guests to grab the blooms of their choice to take home after the event. Wax kraft paper was provided for the guests to package their selections.

Special thanks to AIS Portraits for the stunning photos.

Grand Staircase // Luxmore Grande Estate

Our grand staircase is one of the most stunning and talked about features of Luxmore Grande Estate.

It’s a major reason current owners decided to purchase the property and turn it into the beautiful event space it is today! Our grand staircase makes for an absolutely breathtaking entrance, creating a dramatic statement as guests arrive for your big day!

Photography opportunities on the staircase are endless! We see wedding photographers create truly memorable moments with brides and grooms on the grand staircase. Many tears of joy have been shed on this staircase. Often times, couples choose to do their first look here. With so many angles, lighting, and stunning chandelier to play-off of, you will have no shortage of gorgeous pictures.

It also provides the perfect canvas to play around with décor and styling, making this area customizable for each Luxmore Grande Estate wedding. From floral, to draping, or clean & classic you can’t go wrong with styling our grande staircase for your event! One of our favorite designs is the creating of our owner and Flowers by Lesley. Would you believe it features over 12,000 stems of assorted white flowers!?

Planning Tips // 30 Day Wedding Checklist

Planning tips for the days leading up to your wedding.

If you’ve met me, you know that I am all about simplicity and organization. Whether that means decluttering my work or personal space, planning out goals for the month, or just taking a day to refresh and reorganize. I’m a planner at heart and I thrive on schedules and knowing what the plan is. So putting together a checklist of wedding planning tips is right up my alley. 😉 This planning tip checklist is certainly not exhaustive but does include the essentials:

Four Weeks Out
  • Apply for your marriage license {can’t get married without one 😉}. Florida marriage licenses are actually valid for 60 days. While you could apply for this a bit earlier, I recommend waiting until about a month out so it doesn’t get misplaced.
  • Write your vows {if doing your own}. Give yourself time to really think about what you want to say during your ceremony. We love these his + hers vow books from Foxblossom Co. so they can be kept as keepsakes!
  • Deliver any specific song requests {or do not play requests} to your DJ or band.
Three Weeks Out
  • Finalize RSVP’s. This is a great task for your bridesmaids. 😊 Have them run through your invite list and call anyone who hasn’t submitted an RSVP.
  • Confirm ceremony details with your officiant. Be sure to discuss what will happen during the ceremony {i.e. unity candle, ring warming, etc.} and review any readings and such. Pro tip: your officiant should do a full run through of the ceremony at your rehearsal.
  • Finalize any printed materials and favors . Now that you have your final guest count, confirm how many escort cards, menus cards, programs, etc. will be needed. If your favors are edible, wait until a day or two prior to the wedding to have delivered.
  • Make sure groomsmen submit their measurements and schedule a time to pick-up their suits/tuxes.
  • Purchase bridal party gifts. I LOVE gifting, and our new store, Miscellaneous Market, has so many cute items to choose from {including gifts for gents}!

Two Weeks Out
  • Confirm seating chart. Once all of your RSVP’s are in you can confirm how many guest tables you’ll need and who will be seated where.
  • Submit final numbers to vendors. This will include your caterer, florist, rentals and any other vendor that needs a head count.
  • Finalize the day-of timeline with your DJ and/or wedding planner.
  • Attend your final dress fitting! Don’t forget to bring your day-of undergarments, veil, accessories, and bridal shoes to make sure the full look is picture perfect.
One Week Out
  • Create a “getting ready” timeline. Provide a copy to your bridal party so they know where to be and when.
  • Pick up your bridal gown. Make sure it’s stored in a breathable garment bag and away from any clutter.
  • Pack your wedding night bag. A change of clothes/shoes and toiletries are a must!
  • If you’re honeymoon immediately follows your wedding, be sure to pack a honeymoon bag. This checklist from The Knot covers just about everything you’ll need!
  • Drop off day-of items to your wedding coordinator. They will typically take on the responsibility of delivering these items to your venue on wedding day.
The Day Before
  • Pamper yourself! Get a mani-pedi, massage, and a good night’s rest – just avoid facials and anything else that may cause skin irritation or inflammation.

Our team hopes this planning tips checklist will help you relax on the days leading up to your wedding!

Xoxo,
Kim
