Bridal Portraits | A Tradition
The history of bridal portraits actually began as a Southern tradition for brides and their families. So it’s only fitting to highlight some of our favorite Luxmore brides here at our gorgeous Southern estate!
Having a private moment between the bride and their photographer is so important in building rapport and capturing that perfect photo. It’s easy to tell in a portrait if a bride feels comfortable, and there are plenty of unique areas throughout the estate for the ideal portrait session.

Getting ready is another great time to sneak a few one-on-one pics! The bridal suite at Luxmore Grande is one of the largest in Central Florida; so make sure to set aside some extra time for bridal portraits in this beautiful space.

Real Talk // Kristina + James
This sweet couple met about three and a half years ago; Kristina was looking for a roommate and James turned out to be the perfect match in more ways than one ?

How did you meet?
“We met in New York in January of 2016. I was looking for a roommate to rent the second bedroom of my apartment in Chelsea. I posted an ad for a roommate on Craigslist and James answered the ad. He was moving from London to New York and needed a place to stay. We met up and I gave him a tour of the apartment. He loved the place and we got along instantly. Less than a year later, we were together and not too long after that, we were engaged! If you ask him how we met, he would simply say Craigslist, which has definitely gotten us some strange looks along the way!”

What made you choose Luxmore as your venue?
“We loved the venue the moment we stepped inside. It sold itself. Our ideal venue was an outdoor wedding and the space outside was perfect. With Florida weather being as unpredictable as it is we needed to feel good about getting married in the backup space the venue had. The room the Luxmore presented to us was just as beautiful as the outdoor space which made us feel it was the perfect place for us.”

Cake ::
What was your design inspiration?
“We both had the same idea for the wedding decor which made things much easier. White and ivory with touches of silver and gold. Simple, elegant, classic! It turned out to be everything we envisioned. “

What was your favorite part of the event?
“When my new husband sang to me! And also the cake! He would say the open bar lol.”

What factors did you consider when choosing your vendor team?
“Reviews, reviews, reviews! It was important for us to hear what other couples had to say. It really influenced our decisions when we chose our team. I would also say communication. Since we had to plan the wedding remotely, it was extremely important to us that our vendors were able to help us via phone and face time. “

Real Talk // Morgan + Julius
Morgan + Julius hosted their simple but oh-so elegant fall wedding with us last October – we fell head-over-heels in love with their reception draping, and their doughnut station still has us drooling ?

How did you meet?
Julius and I met in the Respiratory program at school. We were in our second semester and were in the same study group. I secretly looked him up on Facebook before we officially met so I was already kinda interested lol. We figured out we only lived about ten minutes away from eachother so we studied more and more and ended up falling for each other.

What made you choose Luxmore as your venue?
I knew I didn’t want a boring hall at a hotel or something generic and old looking where you would need tons of decor to cover it up. We live in Chicago and since we were getting married in Florida I was doing a lot of online researching. I stumbled across Luxmore and I KNEW it’s where I wanted to get married before I even saw it in person. Actually, Luxmore was the only venue I looked at in person. I’m a simple person who knows what I want and I didn’t want to see tons and tons of venues. I just knew it was perfect for me.

What was your design inspiration?
My design inspiration definitely was a mix of vintage, simple, romantic, elegant, and kind of a whimsical feeling. I was so lucky to have vendors that understood my vision, especially because I was unable to be there in person a lot. I just wanted a design that was stunning but not overdone and gotty looking. I did a lot of research on Pinterest and also wedding blogs. My florist was amazing and put together the floral arrangements exactly how I wanted.

Did you face any challenges during the planning process?
I felt overwhelmed a lot and a little out of control due to not being in the same state. I overcame this by being extremely organized and had a wedding binder with all my vendors, to-do lists, payment dates, etc. I tried to stay on top of everything and also not be so controlling and to just go with the flow.

Any planning tips you’d like to share with other couples?
Just have fun with it and don’t let yourself be overwhelmed with everything at once. Try and focus on one thing at a time and know you will get it all done, no matter how tedious it is. Have fun with it and don’t be so controlling over every single detail. If you have a good team of vendors and a good venue I promise everything will turn out beautiful. I would also recommend having a day of coordinator, that takes a lot of pressure off of you and it is definitely worth the money. I’d say spend the most money on that and your flowers. You honestly do get what you pay for.

Kim
Portraits | Southern Wedding
It’s the final week of our mini-series on a luxurious southern wedding inspired shoot we hosted at Luxmore Grande Estate. Our little hearts are so excited to share the final details with you! So far, we’ve talked about welcoming your guests with a fun station, the aesthetics of the ceremony, how to deck out the reception space, and all about the little details. To finish us off, we’re sharing about the beauty of portraits!

As essential as a well designed ceremony + reception are, it’s just as necessary for the bridal styling to encompass the overall theme; the look featured in our southern styled shoot is an embodiment of Luxmore Grande Estate!
The beautiful gown from Solutions Bridal Designer House was the perfect fit for the clean and elegant atmosphere of the Estate. The dress and bridal style melded perfectly into the rest of the décor & details. The unique floral print of the dress also brought in a chic and sophisticated new age air to the overall look.
The curated spaces, and details as a whole provided so many gorgeous opportunities for bridal portrait shots. It was hard to pick which ones were our favorites!

All in the Details // Southern Wedding
It was a culmination of the smaller details that helped breathe life into out southern inspired styled shoot. The soft hues and stationery brought vintage romance, while the fashionable addition of Antonio Milani pumps gave just the right hint of modern edginess.

While big décor items and spaces are important, it is often times the smaller details that can really stand out for a wedding. An intricately crafted wedding invitation suite, a handwritten note, or the perfect shot of your designer bridal shoes are the small things that can make your grand vision a reality!

The cake, provided by Bakers Cottage Cakes, display was inspired by the idea of an old southern home. The antique furniture echoed the welcome set-up and brought a little old world charm. The floral around the cake overflowed and felt like a lush southern garden brought indoors. The shelf accents also played with mixing old and new vibes, and style.

Reception Tablescape // Southern Wedding
If you know our team, you’re well aware that we LOVE a well designed and thought out reception tablescape – from the linen, to the floral, and all the way to the china + flatware, the RW ladies are all about the aesthetics.
The reception is the perfect opportunity to bring the wedding vision to life, and to make a bold statement guests will never forget!
The Luxmore Grande Estate ballroom was completely transformed for this elaborate reception set-up. All the details capture the theme, melding modern and classic elements all while keeping the traditional and southern character of the estate.
The gorgeous French blue, ivory, and gold palette was a major theme in designing the reception tablescape. The idea was to create a sleek aesthetic while still providing a soft and romantic ambiance.
The patterned napkins contrast beautifully against the solid ivory table linen, while the tall centerpieces create height and add texture. The layered china also mimics the palette by pulling in multiple tones and styles.
The sweetheart table was another beautifully designed space from our southern wedding styled shoot. The design plays off the reception tablescape but also has its own original flare, helping it stand out from the rest.
Mixing an exposed wooden table with linen is always a great way to break up the layout. It also adds diversity to the overall look.

Southern Wedding Ceremony
Last week we started a mini-series on a luxurious styled shoot we hosted with rentals + designs fit for a southern belle. In case you missed it, we started off with the first area your guests will see – the welcome station {perfect for featuring a fun welcome beverage or treat and gift + sign-in table}! This week is all about the ceremony space and making it your own.
| CEREMONY AESTHETIC |
This stunning space married the traditional southern wedding with a new age flare! We love the use of the magnolia leaves and other greenery in this unique arch created by Flowers by Lesley. The elegant Gold Louis chairs, from RW Events, had an old world charm that popped against all the greenery on the Luxmore Estate Patio.
Your wedding ceremony is arguably the most important part of the entire event, and the most intimate. Collaborate with your vendors and don’t be afraid to dream up something bold and unique While creating an area that reflects both the bride and groom is important, this space is also a precursor to your reception. The design here is a great way to give your guests a glimpse of what’s to come!

The Welcome | Southern Wedding
While we have seen Luxmore Grande Estate styled in so many ways, at its core it will always be an elegant southern estate. That is why we are so excited to share to share this stunning modern take on a southern wedding with you!! Over the coming weeks we’ll be breaking down a luxurious styled shoot we hosted and chatting about all the details that make this fit for a southern belle ❤️ We’re starting off with the first thing your guests will see – a welcome station!
Welcoming your guests in style!
We love the soft blues and neutrals used in this color palette for a wedding welcome station. The antique rentals echoed the traditional southern charm, while accents such as the gold geometric vases brought a modern edge. The clean floral also added a sleek finish while still feeling classic.

Our grand staircase is one of the most stunning and talked about features of Luxmore Grande Estate.

Real Wedding // A Luxmore Grande Estate Favorite
Their stunning Luxmore Grande Estate Wedding
Sia and Nick’s estate wedding has become a Luxmore Grande Estate favorite! This amazing couple brought so much love, intimacy, and personality to their big day!
Sia and her bridesmaids brought so much laughter to our beautiful bridal suite. Sia also made a unique choice in choosing the library as the private setting to get ready with her mother.
The estate exterior made the perfect backdrop for Sia and Nick’s adorable first look before the ceremony. The group even posed for a few amazing portraits by our beautiful banana palms before walking down the aisle.
Bride Sia truly had a unique vision for her wedding, and her fabulous team of vendors helped make it a reality. From the dramatically draped outdoor ceremony (which we still cannot get over), her mixed farm table reception (provided by RW Events), and intricate floral detail. A live wedding band and artfully curated décor details brought their reception in the estate’s Grande ballroom to life! The mix of farm tables and round banquet tables at the reception was a great way to break up the layout, and add texture with the mixed linens.
The wedding came to close with a flurry of sparklers, but not before the bride and her guests made sure to dance the night away.

One & Only Bridal Fashion Show
This January Luxmore Grande had the pleasure to host a truly unique and trendy event in collaboration with Downtown Orlando’s One & Only Bridal Boutique. A team of amazing vendors including: Flowers by Lesley, Brides Be Beautiful, Gian Carlo Photography, and RW Events came together to create a night of pure fashion!
Members of the Central Florida Wedding Industry flooded to the estate to experience some of the newest bridal styles from One & Only Bridal, which recently opened its doors in the heart of Downtown near Lake Eola. Their motto, one we can all get behind – “Don’t Be Like the Rest of Them,” was the theme of the evening.
The owner of One & Only Bridal, Katherine, and her team sought to create an interactive experience to go hand-in-hand with the show. With RW Styling and Flowers by Lesley they were able to create various themed experiences in the estate, which each told a story based on the gowns showcased. It created a gallery effect that allowed individuals to view the scenes as a work of art and discuss the looks.
The models from the Modern Muse Modeling Agency were absolute show stoppers and Jasmine Doublette of Brides Be Beautiful went above and beyond to create a couture editorial look that captured the spirit of the event. The beauty, fashion, and of course edge were the perfect subjects for Gian Carlo’s moody and artistic photography style.
