Fall Tablescape

Is anyone else ready for fall? We sure are! I mean, it’s not as though the weather changes much in Florida and the palm leaves don’t change colors… but the evenings are a wee-bit cooler!  In other words, it’s pumpkin spice season 😉

Fall is also a time of more family gatherings, comfort food, and pretty tablescapes. In speaking of tablescapes…

We’re getting pumped for our tablescape shoot next week. This year we did things a little differently. In the past, we’d work with Flowers by Lesley and Treasury Rentals in some rented warehouse space (with good lighting)… set and reset fifteen to twenty tables. While it was always fun and really creative, we decided to share in the creativity by inviting fellow vendors to design tables using our inventory.

We’re doing this over a span of two days with close to 16 creative teams! Don’t worry… the RW crew is designing a few tables too (that was a lot of rhyming 😉). We’ll design a couple, too!

With fall being a couple of weeks away, we thought it was only fitting to share a little early fall inspiration from our 2018 shoot. In other words, here’s an excuse to look at some pretty floral and tablescapes.

Our girl Emily, with Treasury Rentals always provides the perfect tabletop accessories. The copper chargers and flatware were a perfect addition to the place settings.

When pulling together the color palette, we expressed our love of wild flowers to Flowers by Lesley. Boy, oh boy did she deliver.

Why not throw a little lounge inspiration in to tie together the design?! Our Rusty chairs and Krystle Sofa exudes fall! Wouldn’t you agree?

Fall Wedding Inspiration

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about fall? Is it cozy sweaters + boots, your favorite soup, or maybe spending time with friends and family? Us too! But what comes to mind when you think fall wedding design? We always see the usual – deep reds and burgundy, dahlias, velvet, and so on. Don’t get us wrong – we LOVE these combos, but we also love putting a new twist on the “norm.” And with fall right around the corner, we’ve been dreaming up some fun new ideas!

Fall Wedding | The Palette: Blush, Light Blue, Eggplant, and Gold

One of our favorite ways to choose a palette – sourcing the perfect linen! Find the right one, and you can create an entire design around it! We were inspired by BBJ Linen’s Terra Fresco pattern with it’s traditional mix of bridal favorites, blush + light blue, paired with just a hint of eggplant + gold, one of our favorite fall color combos.

Fall Wedding Inspiration | White Wedding Cake with Blush and Eggplant Flowers, Textured Linen, Vintage Dessert Table, White and Blush Bouquet, Gold Chiavari Chairs, and Vintage Sofa.
Featured Inventory: Gold Chiavari Chairs, Annabelle, and Hannah

Our gold chiavari chairs, a pop of blush in the bridal bouquet, our Annabelle sofa, and just a hint of blush + eggplant in the cake all tie in the colors of the linen. Wooden + neutral elements, like our farm tables and non-traditional “floral”, add a rustic, cozy feel and help make the colors pop!

Fall Wedding Inspiration | Farm Tables and Pampas Grass

So what do you think? Would you go for this non-traditional color palette for your fall wedding?

Color Inspiration | Bold + Bright

Weddings are often filled with shades of blush, ivory and golds. And while this tried and true color palette screams “wedding,” we’ve been there and done that. We’re ready to mix it up! Playing with bold + bright colors on your wedding day (if done right) can add a “wow” factor that every bride craves!

The Details Matter

There are plenty of opportunities to incorporate bold + bright color elements to your day. Add a twist to your seating chart with purple planks hung on a white macramé wall.  Once your guests enter your reception, there are a ton of opportunities to make your color statement. Try opting for bold floral choices or colorful stationery to bring in some playful colors.

Pairing bold + bright colors with neutrals is always the way to go! For instance, this table features a soft blue tablecloth complementing the purple napkin and making the gold accents really pop!

Tying it all together

Bring your bold color concept into a seated lounge! Everyone loves a good lounge set; it gives your guests the chance to take a break in between dancing. But a lounge should be more than just some seats, it should add something special to your overall décor. This tropical lounge set uses bright teals and yellows with some tropical greenery to break up the bold color combo, making your guests feel as if they’ve been transported to a tropical paradise!

Whether you’re adding color to something like your linens or tabletop details or you’re incorporating color in a big way, with a seated lounge. Have fun and think outside of the box! Color shouldn’t scare you, but rather empower you to see a world of possibilities.

Tables, Chairs, Charger Combo!

Setting the table!

Deciding on the perfect wedding rentals can be quite the daunting task. Our team is happy to make suggestions based on your individual style while saving you money in the process. Did you know… the more you rent, the more you save! We offer a client’s a saving of us to 20% when renting farmhouse tables, chairs, and tabletop (to include chargers, glassware, and flatware).

We love the combination selected for this private ocean-side estate wedding! They selected the Sand dining chairs, Caroline farm tables, and tabletop from our friends at Treasury Rentals.

This gorgeous wedding was capture by Kartsie Photography with floral by Flowers by Lesley.

Bar Styling

Let’s be honest, the bar is a key element of the wedding—for you and your guests! Gone are the days of sticking the bar in the corner, hoping it doesn’t sneak up in any photos. Your bar should make a statement and be an extension of the two of you! Whether you’re planning to serve signature drinks, craft beers, or artfully mixed cocktails, we’ve got you covered when it comes to the decor 🙂

What’s your wedding style?

It’s totally fine if you’re not sure! We can definitely assist you with coming up with the right catch phrase – southern chic? Boho? Retro? Whatever it is, we’ve got the little details to create an artful experience tying everything together. Let’s shake things up!

Artful Mixology | Bar Styling by RW Style

Once you’ve determined the style, think about some fun cocktails or mocktails to feature! Maybe you’re looking to throw it back a bit to a more retro vibe. The Classic Martini and Old Fashioned are a great way to use common bar inclusions with a dressed-up twist. Now all you need is the right bar front, glassware, and details!

Loungin’ at The Acre

This dapper couple has a keen eye for style and loves a jewel toned palette as much as we do!

They tied the knot at The Acre Orlando. Curating a bold and colorful lounge in this white space was only fitting. That jewel toned obsession runs deep with our clients, too! Check out this lounge we styled for an Acre bride. She wanted a conversation set in rich hues of black, blue, and green. Naturally, we used touches of gold as an accent while livening the space up with fresh greenery.

The Living Wall

Because we’re always looking for an excuse to create something new!

It typically stems from not being able to find what we need in the marketplace. And sometimes, it’s because we don’t like the options available in the market. For instance, our boredom with the traditional hedge walls prompted us to create something new + needed for our styling clients.

“Re” introducing The Living Wall!

What is the living wall and why was it created? Our owner, Tamuel Cowart, was absolutely sick of the traditional hedge walls. And we couldn’t help but share her sentiments. Traditional hedge walls were overused and didn’t compliment the events styled. In other words, our clients deserved something better. When we sketched out the Living Wall we weren’t sure of the response we’d received. So we tested it on colleagues first at Cypress Grove Estate House.

Quick list of why it’s a staff fav:

    1. Easy to assemble
    2. Fresh foliage allows us to easily fill the gaps
    3. 100% customizable
    4. Comes in various sizes
    5. Perfect for a bar, sweetheart table, or lounge backdrop

It’s Eclectic!

Eclectic decor featuring colorful floral bouquet and fireplace mantle.

…Boogie woogie, woogie!

You can’t resist it

It’s “eclectic”

Boogie woogie, woogie

You can’t do without it…

Okay, okay, I’ll stop it 🙂

Oh, how we love the catch phrase eclectic decor. To us, its a collection of unexpected and funky decor. It’s a break from the norm and a mix of bold colors, patterns, and textures! We sourced pottery from a local maker, Thrown by Hand, and found the perfect macrame doilies for the place settings to tie in with the bold artwork and walls at the restaurant.

Eclectic decor including handmade pottery, amber vases, and pastel floral.
This intimate affair was hosted at Reyes Mezcaleria! A little about the venue: Reyes Mezcaleria is a cute and vibrant Mexican restaurant just minutes from Ivanhoe Village. It offers an extensive list of mezcal and tequila with fine Mexican fare in the vibrant North Quarter District of Downtown Orlando. If you’re ever in the area we highly recommend the quac!

Special thanks to our creative partners for making this happen:

Bubba Feasting Table | Inventory Highlight

Our Bubba feasting tables seats up to 20 people!

The epitome of a table fit for royalty, our Bubba feasting table has enough elegance to elevate any event and the versatility to adapt to any vision or style. As one of the most unique and recognizable pieces in the RW Style inventory, Bubba is always ready to be the center of attention!

Although he may seem daunting because of his size, Bubba is surprisingly adaptable to any seating situation – he can be a showstopping head table for eight or a grand feasting table for twenty. Really want to make a statement? Rent a few Bubba tables to frame your dance floor or rent a few more and use them as reception tables to seat all your wedding guests.

Our Bubba feasting table works well with every style!

While his size makes him stand out in a crowd, his design is what makes him extraordinary. Although Bubba is the same size as two of our popular Caroline farm tables, his one-of-a-kind pedestal means there’s no seam where two Caroline tables would meet. Since Bubba’s base supports the middle of the table from underneath, there are no table legs for your guests to compete with – meaning you can fit an extra guest on each long side. Now that’s what I call ingenuity!

Rustic, glam, bohemian – Bubba can do it all. Check out these photos of him in action and I’m sure you’ll fall head over heels for him as I did.

Wedding Cake Vignette with RW Style

White Wedding Cake Vignette with Fresh Floral and Gold Detailing. Displayed on RW Style's Wooden Table.

Your wedding cake vignette is arguably one of the biggest parts of your event; I mean it has its own photo moment! So why not make your cake unforgettable with some rentals and a touch of style!

There are so many ways to make your wedding cake the star of the show. It could be as simple as renting a unique table or as ornate as creating an entire dessert buffet on display. Adding floral and small décor details can make all the difference.

Where you place your cake on the big day can also help in creating a dramatic statement. If you have a beautiful sweetheart table set-up why not incorporate your cake next to you? Does your venue have a cool and unique area but you don’t know how to utilize it? Your cake may be the perfect answer!

We would love to help with making your wedding cake a memorable moment! Check out the gallery below for some stunning (and delicious) cake vignette inspiration! <3

Blush Wedding Design Inspiration | Rentals, Attire, + Details

Blush Wedding Inspiration at Cypress Grove Estate House. Bold floral gives a stunning pop of color again a white backdrop.

Blush wedding palettes are a tried and true trend that does not seem to be going anywhere. However, we do see this color design evolving with new style and ideas being introduced, allowing for blush décor to feel fresh!

Some new takes on the blush wedding we love are;

  • Modern décor and accents
  • Shades of pink
  • The mix of blush and black
  • Blush and jewel tones

The classic color also lends itself well to a variety of wedding vibes. Below are four popular décor styles.

Blush decor, including a vintage dresser and upholstered chairs are subtle but give the perfect pop of color for a spring wedding.

Lounge furniture, tabletop décor, event seating, and linen are all very easy ways to incorporate blush into your design vision.

Gold decor chairs with a blush pad, specialty chargers, and velvet linen all add a sense of romance and elegance.

Beyond décor, you can also incorporate blush into other areas of your event. For example:

  • Signature Drinks
  • Custom stationery
  • Pink dessert and cake display
  • Bridal and groom attire (if you are feeling fashion-forward!)
  • Get away car! Who wouldn’t love to exit in their perfect pink chariot!
Who doesn't love a blush wedding gown!? It's subtle but oh, so feminine. Not a fan of colored gowns? Try pairing the traditional white or ivory gown with blush shoes, or have your groom wear a fashion-forward blush or mauve suit.
Blush cocktails, a wedding cake, and dessert shooters are a fun and unexpected way to incorporate color into your wedding day design.

Make sure to drop us a line if you need help planning your perfectly pink day!

Bohemian Wedding Musts

Bohemian style weddings are the newest bridal trend, and they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. A bohemian styled event is a perfect theme for the fashion-forward and trendy couple.

A boho wedding is going to incorporate a whimsical style with elements of rustic vibes and bold details. If you are wanting to go modern, some edgy detailing is great too! There’s also a distinction between West Coast Bohemian with a desert-inspired appeal and East Coast which can be more tropical inspired and modern.

Macrame, rattan, velvet, and greenery are just some of the bohemian trends. Farm tables with unique seating options and non-traditional tablescapes are essential for receptions. A lounge with bohemian style furniture and elements can create a laid back and stylish atmosphere. Calligraphy and well-placed signage can also bring in an artistic touch. If you are marrying outdoors, a unique tent such as a Sperry tent or TeePee tent can create a dramatic atmosphere, perfectly complemented with alternative décor and floral details.

Whatever your boho-style leans toward, there are some must-haves across the board, and we have all the items you could need for your Bohemian big day at our warehouse!

Jewel Tones // Spring Inspiration

One of the things our couples love most about Cypress Grove is the Old Florida feel which is so hard to find anymore, especially in Orlando! Once surrounded by orange groves, we wanted to play into that old Florida citrus plantation feel and use the Estate’s surroundings to complement that aesthetic.

With the sunlight reflecting off gorgeous Lake Jessamine, golden rays project stunning shades of pinks and oranges which we wanted to capture in the showcased floral. The house itself stands beautifully in a crisp white with emerald green shutters to accent so the same palette was used for our linens and candy buffet. We wanted to show our couples the very landscapes they fell in love with could be implemented into their wedding day details.

We focused on rentals that our couples love to see – a unique dessert display, wood elements, and rustic chairs to complement. Our emerald buffet was the perfect accent piece to Florida Candy Buffet’s colorful display. Our Wesley farm tables and matching French Country Chairs added the southern elegance our couples love and paired wonderfully with our linen covered Captain’s tables! Incorporating two table styles adds such a fun design element 😉

Modern Southern Garden // Featured Wedding

We had the pleasure of providing rentals for Victoria & Jonathan’s southern garden inspired wedding, featured on Every Last Detail (head over there to see all the details from this wedding)! The event was hosted at Haus 820, an industrial warehouse for special events – giving this wedding a fun, modern twist!

Featured Inventory :: Grey // Willow // Iceland // Wiley
Photos :: Chelsea Renay Photography

From the planner:
The vast dessert display was set on a vintage ice cream cart and featured a 4 tier, hand-painted cake to match the invitation suite and printed goods. The southern garden wedding was inspired by Victoria’s mother’s Charleston upbringing complete with a flower bucket display. Reminiscent of a flower market, the metal bucket stand filled with florals served as the seating chart for the evening. Small escort cards were connected to each bucket with tiny white flower magnets. The room was filled with romance from the soft blue and pastel tones, twinkling candlelight, crape myrtle trees lining the space, tall greenery centerpieces and an abundance of fluffy blooms throughout. At each place setting an etched charger sat beneath a blue hemstitch napkin wrapped between white dinner plates and mismatched vintage salad plates that tied in beautifully with hints of soft pastels in the blooms.

Portraits | Southern Wedding

It’s the final week of our mini-series on a luxurious southern wedding inspired shoot we hosted at Luxmore Grande Estate. Our little hearts are so excited to share the final details with you! So far, we’ve talked about welcoming your guests with a fun station, the aesthetics of the ceremony, how to deck out the reception space, and all about the little details. To finish us off, we’re sharing about the beauty of portraits!

Photos: JP Pratt, Floral: Flowers by Lesley, Fashion: Solutions Bridal, Beauty: Laura Reynolds Artistry

As essential as a well designed ceremony + reception are, it’s just as necessary for the bridal styling to encompass the overall theme; the look featured in our southern styled shoot is an embodiment of Luxmore Grande Estate!

The beautiful gown from Solutions Bridal Designer House was the perfect fit for the clean and elegant atmosphere of the Estate. The dress and bridal style melded perfectly into the rest of the décor & details. The unique floral print of the dress also brought in a chic and sophisticated new age air to the overall look.

The curated spaces, and details as a whole provided so many gorgeous opportunities for bridal portrait shots. It was hard to pick which ones were our favorites!

All in the Details // Southern Wedding

It was a culmination of the smaller details that helped breathe life into out southern inspired styled shoot. The soft hues and stationery brought vintage romance, while the fashionable addition of Antonio Milani pumps gave just the right hint of modern edginess.

Photos: JP Pratt, Floral: Flowers by Lesley, Calligraphy: Andi Mejia

While big décor items and spaces are important, it is often times the smaller details that can really stand out for a wedding. An intricately crafted wedding invitation suite, a handwritten note, or the perfect shot of your designer bridal shoes are the small things that can make your grand vision a reality!

Featured Inventory :: Ocean

The cake, provided by Bakers Cottage Cakes, display was inspired by the idea of an old southern home. The antique furniture echoed the welcome set-up and brought a little old world charm. The floral around the cake overflowed and felt like a lush southern garden brought indoors. The shelf accents also played with mixing old and new vibes, and style.

P.S. Don’t miss the last post of our southern wedding mini-series next week!

Reception Tablescape // Southern Wedding

If you know our team, you’re well aware that we LOVE a well designed and thought out reception tablescape – from the linen, to the floral, and all the way to the china + flatware, the RW ladies are all about the aesthetics.

The reception is the perfect opportunity to bring the wedding vision to life, and to make a bold statement guests will never forget!

The Luxmore Grande Estate ballroom was completely transformed for this elaborate reception set-up. All the details capture the theme, melding modern and classic elements all while keeping the traditional and southern character of the estate.

Rentals pictured :: Gold Flatware, China, Gold Rimmed Chargers, Gold Louis chairs

The gorgeous French blue, ivory, and gold palette was a major theme in designing the reception tablescape. The idea was to create a sleek aesthetic while still providing a soft and romantic ambiance.

The patterned napkins contrast beautifully against the solid ivory table linen, while the tall centerpieces create height and add texture. The layered china also mimics the palette by pulling in multiple tones and styles.

The sweetheart table was another beautifully designed space from our southern wedding styled shoot. The design plays off the reception tablescape but also has its own original flare, helping it stand out from the rest.

Mixing an exposed wooden table with linen is always a great way to break up the layout. It also adds diversity to the overall look.

Southern Wedding Ceremony

Last week we started a mini-series on a luxurious styled shoot we hosted with rentals + designs fit for a southern belle. In case you missed it, we started off with the first area your guests will see – the welcome station {perfect for featuring a fun welcome beverage or treat and gift + sign-in table}! This week is all about the ceremony space and making it your own.

This stunning space married the traditional southern wedding with a new age flare! We love the use of the magnolia leaves and other greenery in this unique arch created by Flowers by Lesley. The elegant Gold Louis chairs, from RW Events, had an old world charm that popped against all the greenery on the Luxmore Estate Patio.

Your wedding ceremony is arguably the most important part of the entire event, and the most intimate. Collaborate with your vendors and don’t be afraid to dream up something bold and unique smile emoticon While creating an area that reflects both the bride and groom is important, this space is also a precursor to your reception. The design here is a great way to give your guests a glimpse of what’s to come!

The Welcome | Southern Wedding

While we have seen Luxmore Grande Estate styled in so many ways, at its core it will always be an elegant southern estate. That is why we are so excited to share to share this stunning modern take on a southern wedding with you!! Over the coming weeks we’ll be breaking down a luxurious styled shoot we hosted and chatting about all the details that make this fit for a southern belle ❤️ We’re starting off with the first thing your guests will see – a welcome station!

Welcoming your guests in style!

We love the soft blues and neutrals used in this color palette for a wedding welcome station. The antique rentals echoed the traditional southern charm, while accents such as the gold geometric vases brought a modern edge. The clean floral also added a sleek finish while still feeling classic.

Featured Inventory :: Winter, Oates, & assorted vases + mirror

Putting together a unique and personalized wedding welcome station for guests is a great way to make them feel at home during your event! Your guests are your closest family and friends and they are excited to celebrate with you. So a thoughtful welcome station is the perfect way to greet them!

Photos: JP Pratt | Floral: Flowers by Lesley | Calligraphy: Andi Mejia

Have fun with creating your welcome area, and use meaningful details to tie it back into the rest of your décor & theme. Floral accents can play of your bouquets and centerpieces, while accessories can accent your color palette. Personalized touches such as a customized welcome sign can bring the entire space together.

Stay tuned for more details from the reception space, our grand entryway, and a sweet cake display!

Styling | Lush Cosmetics

Keeping the design in-line with their signature brand, we brought in garden picked wildflowers. They were organically assembled in mason jars.

The final look was a disorderly array of their products. Certainly, in the coolest way possible.

Their team was tasked with testing and learning about the new products. Because of this, we created a relaxed environment to ensure comfort. Hence, the day bed and poufs! Each space was inspired around a signature Lush Cosmetics scent.

Tablescape of the Month // Classic Elegance

If you’ve met our team, you know how much we love a stunning tablescape. It’s certainly no secret that perfectly placed china, floral, and elegant linen make our hearts swoon. 🙂 We partnered with some amazing Central Florida wedding vendors to make this dreamy tablescape come to life. Our bestie, Lesley with Flowers by Lesley, adorned a captain’s table with a mix of high + low centerpieces {with lush arrangements of white hydrangea + roses} & votives, and wove some lovely fabric into the back of our chiavari chairs. It gave our simple but oh, so elegant tablescape a romantic, ethereal feel! The linen {Bentley} is one of our favs from Over the Top and we choose to drape that over a captain’s table. For those of you who don’t know, a captain’s table is an expanded version of a standard 8′ banquet table. It’s an extra 18″ wide, making it the perfect table option if you want to feature chargers, a full place setting, and lots of floral! Our belmont chargers were topped with our in-house china at Luxmore Grande Estate {isn’t that gold rim gorgeous!?} and we paired that with a sleek silverware set {Capri} from A Chair Affair. We simple love this style for Luxmore Grande Estate, with is grande ballroom and sparkly chandeliers!

Rentals vs. Styling

The RW Style rental collection offers a vast array of furnishings and accents that instantly elevate the experience of any gathering. So, what’s the difference between rentals and styling?

Rentals :: A rented item comes as is – delivered, placed, and retrieved by our warehouse team. You have complete creative control regarding how the item is used.
Styling :: Think of styling as interior design for your event. We handle all of the design details to create a space brimming with personality & pretty.

Let’s use a cake table as an example.

The lovely lady below is Emiline, an antique secretary desk we found in mint condition. She’s the perfect rental piece for a petite cake, especially if the client is interested in vintage furniture.

Here’s where styling comes into play…

Photos: Ashley McCormick Photography

We intentionally used stone pots and urns to echo the texture and architecture of the venue. Vintage candlesticks, lush floral arrangements, and a couple of leftover lemons resulted in this lively styled cake table!

The Sand Collection

Ok guys, its been a while since we’ve shared new inventory (total slackers) but we’re baaaaack!!

We’re starting with this chic Victorian style set: The Sand Furniture Collection. Ok, seriously, what’s not to love about it: neutral color palette, wood trim, easy to style/design… not to mention the soft linen fabric that complements our Sand dining chairs. The beauty of this grouping is it’s distinct ability to blend well in a traditional manor for venues such as Bella Collina, Cypress Grove Estate House, Luxmore Grande Estate, or Waldorf Astoria (to name a few).

Or paired with chic marble and gold accents for our bohemian brides at The Acre and Bramble Tree Estate.

Let’s get those pesky little important details out of the way, The Sand Seating Collection includes:

10 Sofas
20 Chairs
Lots of rugs, pillows, and tables
Groupings start at $750

And… we’re currently accepting rental reservations ?

RW Chronicles | Orange Blossom Bride Party

This month we got to party with the ladies at Orange Blossom Bride as they celebrated the company’s one year anniversary! Orange Blossom Bride is owned by Amanda Schmidt – her philosophy behind the creation of the publication –

Orange Blossom Bride was created with the Central Florida bride in mind. Yes, there are many wedding websites with beautiful ideas and locations for your big day. The only problem: where are you going to find a breathtaking mountainous backdrop or a gorgeous wheat field that stretches for miles?

That’s not to say that Central Florida doesn’t have its own charms and uniqueness! In fact, many couples from around the world choose to come to Central Florida to exchange their vows. This website is dedicated to all the beauty that you can find in the gorgeous Sunshine State. Orange Blossom Bride is where you will find local venues, vendors, inspiration, and real weddings, along with great ideas and tips.

To join in the celebratory festivities, we created two custom lounges incorporating some of our fav pieces {like Leonard and Pistachio}!

A closer look at the details behind the design.

Table of the Month | Transitioning into Fall

It’s time to continue on our ‘Table of the Month’ series. Hooray! September is sort of an odd month…it officially becomes Fall, but it’s still hot as can be here in Florida. Since it’s somewhat of a “transition” month, we wanted that to translate into our table designs. By incorporating a rich color, such as marsala, with a light blush hue, we were able to do just that! Flowers by Lesley made our almost-Fall dreams come true!

RW Events | Table of the Month | Marsala + Blush

For our very first look, we combined hues of marsala and blush with gold touches. We used a lovely Blush Lamour linen from Over The Top, along with the Bordeaux Lamour napkins from GBS Linens. At each place setting, we featured Gold Rim glass chargers with darling gold flatware from Orlando Wedding & Party Rentals. Also at each place setting are dinner plates from the Luxmore Grande Estate. We just love how the deep red napkins pop on top of the china and blush linen. Now for the best part… the flowers! Lesley started off by arranging the pretty blooms in a circle, with clear glass candle votives of varying heights in the center. *swoon!* To finish the look, we added Gold Chiavari chairs to tie in the gold touches.

RW Events | Table of the Month | Marsala + Champagne

For our second table design, we coupled marsala and champagne together. These hues complimented each other quite nicely, and we even incorporated a dash of blush. To start, we used our Gregory farm table, which is one of our favorite pieces. Down the middle of the table, you’ll see a Champagne Micro Matte Sequin runner from Over the Top. Also in the middle, you can see the floral that Lesley stretched out from our first design, to make more of a garland look. Our favorite part of the floral design has to be the Red Amaranthus – it’s the droopy pieces of floral that you see throughout the arrangement! At each place setting, there is a Copper charger from Orlando Wedding & Party Rentals, along with a Blush Lamour napkin from GBS Linens. We think the French Country Chairs complimented the design and farm table beautifully.

RW Events | Table of the Month | Marsala + Greenery

Last but not certainly not least, our third design showcases marsala paired with touches of greenery. We started off with our greenery walls, Fern, to make a statement in the background. In front of the walls, we placed one of our sweetheart tables, Monroe. Lesley converted the garland onto the sweetheart table, and made it drip off the front of the table a bit. We recently discovered this Ivory Organza runner from GBS Linens, and we think it’s stunning across farm tables. At each place setting, we used the Gold Rimmed glass charger again, along with some of our mismatched china, and Bordeaux Lamour napkins from GBS Linens. We think the Silver Industrial chairs add a different element to the design, and we can’t get enough of them! To complete the look, Lesley brought in the clear glass candle votives, and added a bit of floral and greenery to the chairs.

We hope you enjoyed our September tables! If you happened to miss last month’s design, take a peek here!

Real Event | Premium Lounge

Boy, do we love a good bridal show! Our team gets to pull out all the stops and partner with amazing vendors while showcasing our fav rentals. This year we sponsored the Premium Lounge {a unique VIP experience for brides}, which featured our newest boho-chic inspired social lounge, along with Seattle + Aspen {two of our signature collections}.

Featured Inventory | Boho Chic

Say hello to our newest collection! This boho chic social lounge is the perfect blend of relaxed bohemian + modern details, and we just can’t get enough of it!

Boho Chic CollectionWhat really gives this collection personality are the little details – like the tribal drum and the patterned pillows. To make the space a little more cozy we added two simple rugs and some fuzzy throw blankets {perfect for cuddling up with your sweetie}.
Our favorite detail – those ottomans! We love their fun texture + hint of sparkle, and they double as additional seating!

Table of the Month | The Neutrals

Table AugustWelcome to our very first ‘Table of the Month’ series! Our goal with this series, is to show how one focal centerpiece can be used on different tables and styles. This month, we’ve chosen to play with neutrals; think – ivory, champagne and taupe. We felt florally inspired to showcase a tall trumpet vase, topped with a mix of ivory/white flowers and an array of greenery. The always lovely, Lesley, of Flowers by Lesley, fulfilled our neutral dreams! Go grab your favorite cozy beverage, and keep scrolling to see what we’ve created.

For our first table, we designed a romantic table with a touch of metallic sheen. To cover the round banquet table, we used the Taupe Shalimar linen from Over the Top, along with Ivory Lamour napkins. At each place setting, we chose to feature Gold Rim glass chargers along with the Brushed Gold flatware set from A Chair Affair. The white dinner and bread + butter plates belong to the Luxmore Grande Estate… SWOON! In the center of this metallic table, you’ll see the gorgeous, tall floral centerpiece. Ms. Lesley also incorporated three smaller floral pieces in mercury glass vases, along with ornate gold candle pillars. Upon looking at the different tables, you can see that we chose to use mahogany chiavari chairs throughout; We love how versatile these chairs are amongst different styles.

Design 1 (2)
It’s no secret that this is our favorite design, *squeal*. This look just oozes elegance! Alright, enough gushing; let’s get down to business. We covered this captain’s table with Bentley Ivory linen from Over the Top. If you love the long table look, we highly recommend going with a captain’s table (8’48”) instead of a standard banquet table (8’x30”). Doing so makes the width of your table 18 inches wider – allowing space for chargers, flatware and beautiful centerpieces! At each place setting we displayed Silver Belmont chargers and Capri Stainless Steel flatware from A Chair Affair. Again, we featured china from the Luxmore Grande Estate, along with the Ivory Lamour napkins. Onto the good stuff – the floral! The tall centerpiece and smaller floral pieces were placed along the center of the table. Lesley also brought in small silver candle votives to dress up the look. Last but not least, the gorgeous chair drapes! Lesley had these in her arsenal, and we just LOVE how they instantly elevated the table. These would be beautiful for a head table, or even just the newlyweds themselves.

Design 2 (2)
For our final table, we chose to showcase our Wesley farm table. At each place setting, you’ll notice the Taupe glass chargers, a personal favorite of ours. We brought the Brushed Gold flatware back, to give the table a slight mixed metals look, along with the Ivory Lamour napkins. Again, in the center of the table, is that stunning floral arrangement. For this look, Lesley put the smaller floral blooms atop mercury glass pillars, and incorporated the small silver candle votives. We draped the chair sashes a bit differently, to give it a simpler and chic feel. Add a cluster of blooms and greenery to the sashes, and voila! All of our rustic elegant dreams come true!

Styled Shoot | Rustic Romance

Oh, inspiration shoots, how we love thee. Partnering with amazing creative professionals and dreaming up styled shoots is such fun – and we love sharing all the inspiration with our clients! For this shoot, we headed to a secluded wooded area that was drapped in Spanish moss and had just the right amount of sunlight. It proved to be the perfect spot for a rustic + romantic inspiration shoot!

Romantic + Rustic Wedding Inspiration

If there’s one {okay, maybe two} things we’ll never get enough of at weddings, it’s stationery + florals. The hand calligraphed invitation suite by Paula Lee Calligraphy was so utterly romantic and, paired with the stunning flowers from Fleur & Lumiere, added a feminine touch to the rustic setting.

Let’s talk about this cake! It’s pure confectionery perfection, as are most of the treats that come out of Le Petit Sweet. One of our favorite design aspects of their cakes is the tall tiers they feature – it’s such a sleek and refined look!

Here’s my one true love, again {that stunning dress}! Check out the full feature on this Saint Isabel gown here.

Tidbits + Tips | Be Bold

When it comes to choosing colors + decor, don’t be afraid to go bold! Highland Manor is a private home turned special event venue, and one that we love for couples wanting a classic vintage feel for their wedding. The venue boasts stunning grounds with one of the most amazing oak trees I’ve ever seen – it’s draped in Spanish moss and is just oh, so romantic! The manor and it’s grounds made the perfect backdrop for a vintage inspired photo shoot we styled a few months back.

Real Wedding | Nikki + Ryan

Nikki + Ryan married at the oh, so beautiful Cypress Grove Estate House, and their wedding was a perfect combination of DIY details paired with our vintage rentals. Read about the couple’s inspiration for their wedding below!

From the bride: “My one word of advice is DON’T BE AFRAID TO TAKE RISKS. My (now) husband and I decided on a wine themed wedding – I mean who doesn’t like wine? We thought we could utilize the common day wine materials for DIY projects to help save costs. Searching Pinterest and the web we started to develop our picture perfect wedding. With the help of family and friends we made a luxurious wine cork chandelier, eye catching wine bottle trays, and spray painted wine bottles with DIY labels for center pieces. Our vision would not have been complete without the help of RW Events wedding rentals. We captured our theme with two flower filled wine barrels lining our ceremony aisle, a wine barrel table topped with a beautiful candy display, and the rustic elegance of our sweet heart set. With the help of RW Events, and a little bit of creativity, we designed our dream wedding that we will cherish for a life time.”

Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses | RW EventsI don’t think I’ll ever get tired of mismatched bridesmaid dresses – it’s a great way to keep all the girls within the same color palette while letting them show some of their personality =)

I swoon at the sight of gorgeous flowers, but this fall inspired floral had me in a daydreaming fog. The hues of reds and purples… oh and the greenery! Vignettes | Social Lounge

Favorite social lounge of 2015 goes to…..Kimberly’s design for our Annual Design Challenge! It stings a bit to say it since I came in second, but I can’t help falling in love with this seating area. Her challenge was to create a space that incorporated country with glam and boy, did she out do herself.

Let’s start with the furniture selection. In choosing smaller, more delicate pieces, she has created a sense of elegance and refinement. She used the color of the year, Marsala, which was the perfect pop of color against our white Tiger settee (plus, lots of our brides have or still are incorporating this hue into their color palette). Lesley {from Flowers by Lesley} and Kim were the perfect team, and you can see why. They added the most perfect touches of floral and greenery throughout, and did you see those chandeliers!? What I love the most, though, are the small details meticulously placed throughout, from the cowboy spurs to the scripted labels to the stunning bridal bouquet. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2016’s challenge! – Shadow

Social Lounge | New Country Meets Glamour

Kim: “When I think of the south the first thing that comes to mind is magnolias. They’re so fragrant and gorgeous {in an understated way}! Sadly, they’re not in season right now but I was still able to incorporate their beautiful, rich green leaves, and they ended up being the inspiration for my entire design! My florist {Lesley} created two stunning wreaths that were woven through two even more stunning crystal chandeliers, and she also used the leaves in the smaller floral arrangements and garland that held back the gazebo draping. We added even more color to the floral by throwing in hints of purple and marsala {the Pantone color of the year}, which helped to pull out the colors in the two floral chairs.

Now, I’m not a ‘glamorous’ type of gal, so when I had to throw crystal into the mix I really had no idea where to begin {other than the chandeliers}. After rummaging through our inventory, I was beyond thrilled when I stumbled across a most glorious collection of crystal decanters, stemware, and assorted vases! An antique silver tray, two decanters, and a monogrammed tumbler {borrowed from my grandmother} made up a mini whiskey/bourbon station, and since I’m slightly obsessed with calligraphy, I made magnolia leaf labels for each decanter. Speaking of things borrowed, my grandmother also loaned me a pair of boot spurs and a sheriff’s badge that both belonged to my grandfather {he was a real life cowboy back in the day!}. Attention to detail is something I really appreciate in design, so I attached the badge to the bouquet and the spurs accented a framed song quote by Johnny Cash. I also added some texture + pattern to the vintage settee with faux leather pillows I had made a few weeks prior. Oh, and if you’re wondering if that’s a cow hide rug sitting pretty under our mini farm table… it certainly is ;-)”

All Wrapped Up | Industrial Chic

Shadow: “My challenge was to create an industrial chic inspired vignette using a color palette of blue, slate, and mint. When designing this All Wrapped Up vignette, I knew I wanted to bring in mismatched metals and dark eclectic elements with a feminine touch. The venue was an empty warehouse so I brought in different warehouse elements such as the trunks, industrial lighting, and painter’s ladders.

I wanted to draw the eye in from top to bottom by creating different levels of height. I based my concept on 2 main pieces, the scrap metal Mr. and Mrs. sign and Rachel, the mismatched backdrop made of wood and metal. No ordinary table would do for this concept, so I created a gift table using Elias, our white ladders and a stained wood board, adding small details to fill in the negative spaces. Industrial reminds me of a shipping warehouse so I knew trunks and crates were a must! I used Bates, our whitewashed trunk to bring in a bit of lightness to this otherwise dark space. Other trunks were used to stack on top of each other, as you see behind the ladders, to place the chalkboard. James, the wagon, was a must have with his metal wheels and mahogany frame.

Floral and greenery played a big part in tying in the color palette. Succulents, hydrangeas and thistle were the perfect combination of blues and greens, while anemones and peach roses bought a light and airy feel. Details such as the lanterns, fan, and window pane tied in the industrial warehouse theme perfectly.”

{Guest} Who’s Here | Backyard Garden Party

Tori: “When I first heard we were doing an RW Design Challenge between the team, I was extremely nervous, but I didn’t want to show it. But I thought to myself, ‘Okay Tori, you can do this. With all the experience you’ve gained from day-of coordination and having brides trust you with their decor, you may have a shot.’ So then I instantly got excited! I received my concept and was told my “bride” was hosting her wedding in her parents’ backyard, and was going for a girly garden party style but didn’t want to use blush or gold. So I started to brainstorm and I instantly thought of sun hats, rocking chairs on the porch, lemonade, and veggie gardens. I knew I wanted to go for a bright, fun, inviting look with the vignette, especially since it’s the first thing guests would see. I went with something a little different than a sign-in book, and instead chose a pretty floral pillow for guests to sign. I loved this since it can be used and enjoyed by the couple later on. The chalkboards provided some extra decor {and directions for signing in}. ‘Let Love Grow’ is a nod to the wedding guests who watered the seeds of the couple’s relationship, and as each person continues to bless and support the love birds, they’ll see that love blossom as the years go by.”

Sweet Spot | Travel Theme

Rachel: “Oh good gracious, where to begin!? When the challenge was initially issued to us gals, I completely panicked {no exaggeration here}. How in the world could I compete with my style savvy team of coworkers? After the 48 hours of shock and terror wore off, I gathered my game plan and began to design.

My bride and groom were to be wed at an airplane hangar with a travel theme. Desserts were super important to the couple, and they wanted the reception to be designed around the sweets and treats. I had seen plenty of beautifully done, romantic, vintage travel weddings before. That being said, I decided I wanted this sweets display to be more in the bright, eclectic and fun direction.

I am so incredibly grateful for my awesome vendor team – David from Weddings by Carly Ane’s, and Jennyfer from The Sugar Suite. We decided to base the five cakes on different countries that we loved. Atop each cake was a flag that said ‘love’ in the language of the various countries. My favorite is the Greek cake with the darling red poppies! Three of the cake stands are from our silver tin collection, and I love how they looked against the ivory dresser. The flowers were kept simple and bright, since we wanted the cakes to be the focal point of the design. I incorporated a few pieces of my favorite vintage luggage, along with our table globe. My favorite part of the design was the playful globe and scripting on the dresser’s chalkboard.”

Luxe Booth | Modern Shabby Chic

Who’s excited to see more from our styling competition!? Ready or not, first up is Ms. Katie!

Katie: “This Luxe Booth Vignette was a Luxury Shabby Chic design with modern touches. The focal point was a gallery of mirrors used for wedding guests to take a moment and ‘selfie’ reflect. Who doesn’t love to snap a mirror selfie, especially when you’re all dolled up for a wedding!? Placed in the Grand Lawn of Cypress Grove, I positioned the wall facing the water, so the water and trees would be reflected in the selfies.

I brought the mirrors down from the wall gallery by incorporating vanities on either side of the wall. One was a rich wood desk and vanity with beautiful trim work, and the other vanity sat atop our Gold Front Dresser, Eleanor! I adorned the space with a large tufted chair {he goes by Coleman around here} that features beautiful nailhead trim to reflect the gold in the mirrors. Beside him was our gold end table with a mirrored top.

On the wooden wall was yards of assorted lace and cream ribbon. This is where the ‘shabby chic’ really came into play. This added texture and warmth to the rich wooden wall. The color scheme that you can see woven throughout the design consisted of mixed metals, a muted silver blue, rich wood and touches of cream. In the wall gallery, I opted for a mix of elaborate luxurious gold frames paired with some clean cut modern designs to form an eclectic collection. I kept the floral very simple with modern glass cube vases and white tulips.”

Lone Star Styled Shoot | The Design

Happy 2015! We are starting off what is sure will be an {amazing} year with photos from our Lone Star Styled Shoot! Of all the styled shoots we’ve done, this one is by far my favorite.

From our stylist, Katie: “The mis-matched chairs were used for the ceremony as well as the GPS {Getting People Seated} Vignette. Within the vignette, we strung the seating chart cards between the chairs and accented them with floral. The Texas flag {one of our fav details} was created with leftover pieces of fabric, including some vintage lace that was sewn over the white fabric to add a vintage element, and bring a feminine touch to the bold colors of the flag. We incorporated this into the Love Birds Vignette by hanging it between two vintage doors. We also played around with napkin fold styles and ended up using Texas Rodeo belt buckles are napkin rings. These small touches helped to keep the theme cohesive throughout the entire set-up. The Social Lounge was made up of Blueberry, Ruby, our Mahogany Trunk, and custom pillows. An awesome vintage truck created the perfect backdrop for this seating area. The ‘All Wrapped Up’ Vignette was made up of our white cabinet with chicken wire {Katie}, red rolling shelf cart {Ryan}, and a vintage bathtub. The idea of this set up was to have guests drop off their gift and then pick up a little gift of their own. Katie and Ryan held gifts, while the Vintage Bathtub served as a cooler for the soda. The old fashion sodas were from Rocket Fizz in Winter Park. We opted for a selection that complemented the overall feel of the day with sodas like ‘Cowboy Cream Soda’. The fun labels, and interesting flavors allow guests to pick their favorite, and helps to create a memorable experience.”

Holiday Inspiration

The fireplace at Cypress Grove Estate House is one of our favorite vignettes to style. The pristine wood floors throughout and subtle southern touches created the perfect backdrop for our holiday table décor. This year we teamed up with our friends at Windermere Flowers to design a woody, natural setting encompassing the Pantone color of the year – Marsala.

Woodland Inspired Holiday Decor

When we asked Windermere Flowers to share the inspiration for the design… here’s what they shared:

“We created a rustic “marsala” inspired Holiday table using the rich, velvety green and “marsala” leaves of Magnolia, dried fruit and the ilex berries added a pop of rich red to the table and mantle. What holiday table is complete without some gold mercury candles and fragrant pine and cedar to trigger another of our wonderful senses. When setting your holiday table the key things to remember – mix textures and vary height to create that “designer” look and don’t underestimate to touch of metallic {gold on this table} to add a classy “sparkle” to any occasion- Happy Holidays!!”

Lady Sings the Blues

Oh la la, talk about vintage gorgeousness! This shoot was inspired by Harlem Renaissance artist Palmer Hayden’s “Jeunesse”, and is full of soul, bold colors, and lots of style, just like the painting. We chose a stunning venue that featured exposed brick, and complemented our antique vanity and tufted velvet sofa perfectly! Oh, and don’t forget about our model! Not only did she show off that flowing lace gown beautifully, but she also hand crafted the cloche inspired fascinator.

Kathleen + Joe | Vintage Orlando Wedding

Kat and Joe’s wedding was a fun mix of vintage travel and Cali flair. Details such as a hand painted globe, and maps of the California beaches they fell in love on, helped bring their personalities and love story into their wedding day. The escort card display was made of three vintage bike tires suspended above a table to create a totally unique look. Vintage luggage, antique books, and soft pastel details finished off the look of the wedding. Stay tuned over the next couple of weeks to see more of the {amazing} details our stylist crafted up for their wedding!

Vintage Roll Top Desk

Who doesn’t love a roll top desk!? I remember having one of these growing up and always wondering what was inside {my parents kept it locked}. The excitement of opening it and discovering all sort of keepsakes {old letters, my great grandfather’s harmonica, etc.} was almost too much for my curious heart to bear! Every time I see our gorgeous vintage white roll top desk at a wedding my heart skips a beat – I just love seeing couples incorporate old love letters between their grandparents/parents, a pretty guest book {or our vintage typewriter ;-)}, and photos of the bride + groom!

Sangria Inspired Shoot

I don’t think our stylist could have fit any more prettiness into this styled shoot! Diary of a Stylist

So you jump head first into planning the day that will start the rest of your lives together. Now sure, you have lots of ideas floating (I mean most of us have been planning since we were little girls) but you may quickly find out… how time-consuming it is to make them a reality. And that’s where I come in. You need an event stylist.

I once saw a sign in a little shop {of cute handmade things} that read “Yes, you could make this yourself, but will you?” Being a bride it is easy to want to take on the world and in the beginning you may have the determination to find or make those little details. BUT when those little details become daunting, that’s where I come in! It’s kind of like having a Pinterest board that works with you, and as you share with me, {things you’re smitten over, ideas you envision, your love story} I help you shape those ideas, bring them into a cohesive plan, and best of all, bring them to life!

I love what I do. I have the wonderful opportunity of displaying a love story at each wedding. I get to help you create a unique feeling through different design elements and make your day everything you’ve ever dreamed it to be.

Who am I?! I’m one of the fabulous event stylists at RW Events, Katie Kern to be exact!

Say “hello” to the new love of my life {at least for this week ;-)}! Our stylist crafted up this colorful and dreamy backdrop, handmade from ribbon + lace! There are so many vignettes this would be perfect for, and I just can’t decide where I’d like it best – a ceremony backdrop, a sweetheart table backdrop, or a photo booth backdrop!

Meagan + Bryan | Rustic Purple + White Wedding

With being just under 5 months pregnant, Meagan + Bryan decided there was no better way to find out the gender of their baby than at their wedding in front of all their family and friends. It was truly a very special day for Meagan to not only marry the love of her life, but to also find out they are having a BOY! Definitely the happiest moment of their lives 🙂

Vintage Arm Chairs

What do you get when you mix + match antique arm chairs with tufted settees and sofas? Vintage awesomeness!!! Don’t get us wrong, we love a lush and colorful settee all on its own, but adding an arm chair, a vintage trunk, and some fun baubles {like a rotary phone or an antique radio} really pull a look together!
