One question I often get from inquiring couples is “how far out do couples typically book?” Now, every couple has their own timeline that makes sense, but I always recommend booking a year or more out and here’s why!
One advantage to booking your wedding venue farther out is having more available dates to choose from. Many couples are surprised by how quicky our prime dates tend to book up; so, it can be especially beneficial if you’re hoping to snag a Saturday, holiday weekend, or date with repeating numbers!
While you may think, ”Oh, we’re flexible, we have plenty of time” you may soon find out that isn’t the case. Fridays, Sundays, and even weekdays in peak months like March and November have been increasing in popularity as well!

Another factor to consider when booking your wedding venue is payments. Every venue will require some form of deposit in order to secure your date, which typically increases the closer your date is. Booking further in advance often comes with lower deposits and allows for more flexibility with your payment schedule along the way 😉
While some people do better with a tight time constraint, planning a wedding in under a year is not for the weak! There are lots of little details that go into wedding planning, many of which depend very heavily on two things: the date and the location. Getting these solidified early on gives you more time to focus on the more fun details that will make your day memorable.
